Timeline
7-10 working days
To register a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
in India, you must meet he following basic conditions:
Introduced under the LLP Registration Act, 2008, the Limited Liability Partnership model has quickly become a popular choice for startups, professionals, and small businesses in India. It combines the limited liability protection of a private limited company with the flexible structure of a traditional partnership. Each partner in an LLP is protected from the liabilities caused by the actions or negligence of other partners—making it a secure and scalable option for modern businesses.
LLPs are especially preferred by service providers, family-run businesses, consultants, and firms that want to operate with minimal compliance and no mandatory capital requirement. With the introduction of the LLP (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has simplified the LLP registration process by digitizing all LLP forms and enabling the issuance of PAN and TAN along with the Certificate of Incorporation.
The advantages of a private limited corporation and a partnership are combined in a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). It gives you the flexibility to manage your business like a partnership while protecting each partner from personal liability—meaning one partner is not responsible for the mistakes or debts of another. LLPs are easy to set up,
have fewer legal requirements, and don’t need any minimum capital to start. This makes them a great option for startups, professionals, and small businesses looking for a simple and secure way to run their business.
